Why we are building CodePilot AI
Every software team eventually meets the same problem. The system grows, the people who understood it move on, and the documentation stops matching reality. Progress slows down, not because engineers lack skill, but because understanding is hard to share.
Source Code Matters Pvt. Ltd. exists to make that understanding easier to reach. CodePilot AI is our intelligent software engineering workspace: it reads a codebase, explains it, reviews changes to it and documents it, always pointing back to the source.
CodePilot AI is currently at the proof-of-concept stage. We are working with a small number of engineering teams to test it on real repositories and shape the product around what they find useful.

Understanding comes before speed
Teams move faster when they understand what they are changing. Our tools start by helping people see the whole system.
AI should show its work
Answers that cannot be checked are not useful in engineering. Everything CodePilot AI says points back to the code.
Software is a team activity
